- Lori A. May is a poet, novelist, and freelance writer whose work has appeared in publications such as The Writer, Tipton Poetry Journal, The Manhattan Syndicate, and various anthologies. She is the author of three poetry chapbooks, and two novels: THE PROFILER and MOVING TARGET. Her first book-length poetry collection, STAINS, will launch in autumn 2009. The Ambassador Poetry Project will be launching this autumn, featuring the works of Ontario and Michigan poets, both emerging and established.
Writers from other areas of the world are welcome to submit provided the work is reflective of the Ontario and Michigan regions.
The Ambassador Poetry Project is a quarterly electronic journal with an annual print anthology planned to feature selections of the year. On September 25th 2009, Marick Press will be co-presenting the launch with a reading event.
Submissions are accepted year-round and the guidelines are posted here. Please note, no attachments; text in the body of an email only.
A few of the contributing authors for the launch issue include Mariela Griffor, Penn Kemp, and John Jeffire.
Please note, visual artwork (predominantly b&w photography reflective of the regional areas) is also being considered. Please review the guidelines for submission here.
